Top Ten Reviews found the Genesis II E-310 to be a superb family size BBQ, offering a large cooking area that provides consistent heat from the 3 burners. The cast-iron grates retain heat and are easy to clean. It doesn’t have a side burner for cooking accompaniments at a different temperature, but overall it is an excellent BBQ.

The build quality of the Genesis II impressed Cnet who also found the app and smart features to be a welcome addition, although the connected features add to an already hefty price tag. Cooking performance was a little hit and miss as the temperature controls were tough to master, making the smart features all the more appealing.

8 /10

While The Spruce Eats found the Genesis II to be an impressive grill, the price tag was considered high for a BBQ with just 3 burners and no side burner. The hood is also not as deep as some competitors. Despite this it is still a well built product that performs reliably with an easy to read fuel scale and a grease management system to make it easy to clean.

Superb quality at a price and takes a while to assemble.
The 65kg package that the delivery crew trucked down the drive is a clue to how well this is constructed. Even the flame-tamers are 2 or 3 times the thickness of those in the cheap barbecues that we have been replacing every couple of years. So at less than 5 times the price of those, the 10 year guarantee should pay off and it cooks so much better. The assembly is not trivial but between the paper instructions and the "Bilt" app on the phone, it took me a couple of hours. It really needs two people for some of the heavy lifting.
