What the experts say

techradar logo

8 /10

Techradar liked the looks of the Viviomove HR and felt the way it incorporated its smart functions was "ingenious". Sports tracking was competent and battery life good. However, the touch screen can be a bit fiddly, the screen can be hard to see in summer and there is no GPS.

Tech Advisor liked the Vivomove HR as an everyday step and heart rate monitor and as such is a real alternative to a Fitbit. Its price is also very competitive. A lack of GPS means it's not suitable for dedicated runners though.

8 /10

Wareable thought Garmin had managed to yolk together style and function with the Vivomove HR. Its "hidden screen" is a genuinely unique function, even if it does struggle in sunlight and is a bit too small to handle notifications. GPS is again listed as a negative.

The watch looks lovely but its too bulky for a woman. The app was hard to use and the sleep wasn’t correct at all. The connection to the phone was a pain in the neck as if you leave the room that the phone is in it vibrates constantly to tell you its out of range. U may as well just use the phone. Was particularly annoying in the house. Yes this feature can be turned off but it is really hard to find on the app to change the settings. It wasn’t for me. Great looking watch though.

I bought that watch as other known brand fitness tracker has been updated with new software and ... stopped working with my phone! Firstly, Garmin is compatible with all mobile phones with Android OS 5+ Secondly, the best luxury design, real water resistant, absolutely best software, no unnecessary widgets, comfort and pride of wearing. Plus fitness age lol On top of that, very good value for money, brilliant customer service and Argos - unbeatable prices! I'm chuffed to bits

Very pleased with this smart watch. Owned previous Garmin activity trackers wanted one that looks like a normal watch. large face but the information quite small hard to see in sunlight. But overall very pleased.

Had this watch purely because of its look but it was actually the worst one IV had so I returned it, it reckoned I had ten hours sleep (I wish!) It did not register when I went up stairs and unless I was moving the arm the watch was in it didn't register the steps!! May be I had a faulty watch but after a week is had enough and took it back but it was comfortable and stylish

Great price for a watch that tracks not only your fitness but also your stress levels and heart beat. Not only does it track but it also gives you calming techniques to lower your stress levels. Highly recommend

I really like this smart watch, the fact it looks like a regular watch rather than having something that looks like a child's plastic toy strapped to my wrist appealed to me. For the price it does everything I need (step count/sleep etc) and so much more. Easy to set up and use. Not too bulky on my wrist either. A good purchase

Bought as present for my girlfriend as she was looking to keep track of all her ongoing fitness etc... Watch itself is very nice as she wanted something that actually looked like a watch and not a toy and software for phone is excellent. All in all Garmin have delivered with this sleek device.
