The plethora of information offered by the Forerunner 735XT was almost too much for Tom's Guide. They liked that it could track running, swimming and biking, its great battery life, accurate GPS and companion Garmin app. The heart rate monitoring was not as accurate as hoped, however.

A plastic design didn't distract from the overall good looks and clear screen for TechRadar. The less that excellent heart rate tracking was noted. However, it was still hailed as an excellent triathlon watch.
