10 /10

With just a single point off a perfect score, Good Housekeeping considered the Cyclone V10 Absolute an absolutely superb machine, especially considering the only area not to get full marks was the supplied instructions. “Flawless” performance on all surface types, an easy to empty bin and a good array of tools helped it reach its fantastic score. The only criticisms were about its price and the fact the maximum power setting only delivers 8 minutes of cleaning before it needs recharging.

Expert Reviews points out that the V10 has now been replaced at the top of the tree by the V11, but with the V10 available for around £100 less and still an excellent handheld vacuum cleaner it is still considered a very viable option. Despite this, it is still considered relatively expensive as well as heavy, but it also is a very capable vacuum, bested only by the newer - and pricier - V11.

Trusted Reviews found performance to be in line with mains powered upright vacuum cleaners, but far superior when cleaning stairs thanks to its portability. It’s performance when picking up pet hairs was also highlighted as excellent. The larger bin, when compared with models such as the V7 and V8, was welcomed although the fact there was only one battery and it was quite loud marked it down.
